Phoenix Mall

This Starbucks store, located in the Phoenix Mall of Millennium Wakad, may look fun and simple at first, but it was the result of a long and thoughtful design process. The mall owner strongly wanted the project to be inspired by the Memphis Group from Milan and its leader, Ettore Sottsass.

Blending three very different worlds—India, Starbucks, and Memphis design—was not easy, but I worked to bring them together in a way that felt natural. The result is a space that combines the bold and colorful style of Memphis with the local culture of India while still feeling like a true Starbucks.
