Saigon Etoile

Located in the heart of Paris, The Saigon Etoile is a Vietnamese restaurant that underwent a complete renovation to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The project aimed to update the interiors to reflect the brand’s growth and success, while setting the stage for its expansion into international markets.

The design concept reimagines the restaurant as a lush urban oasis, offering a serene escape from the bustling metropolis. Inspired by Ho Chi Minh City’s tropical climate, the space harnesses the vibrant aesthetics of the tropics. Natural materials, vibrant colors, exposed recycled bricks, and layered textures come together to recreate the lively and immersive atmosphere of a tropical street market.

The transformation marks a dramatic departure from the original restaurant’s ambiance, welcoming guests into a space that is both dynamic and refined. Despite the challenges of a tight deadline, the project was a rewarding experience, blending thoughtful design with a sense of artistry. Every detail—furniture placement, lighting, and the play of shadows—was meticulously curated to create an environment that feels alive and inviting.
